Strain description B6.Cg-Hbegf<tm1Mek>. Hbegf, heparin-binding EGF like growth factor is a member of the EGF family of growth factor. Hbegf binds to and activates EGF receptor. The targeting vector containing WT HB-EGF cDNA flanked by loxP sites linked to lacZ reporter gene was transfered into TT2 ES cells.
