Strain development | Developed by Junji Takeda at Osaka University in 2001. A cassette containing a tetracycline-controlled transactivatior (tTA), and a tetracycline responsive element (TRE) was insertied in exon 2. The mutant mice were mated with 129S6/SvEvTac and then maintained by sister-brother mating. |
