Strain development | Developed by Takashi Sado, National Institute of Genetics in 2006. R1 ES cells were used to generate the mutant mice. A loxP flanked neo cassette was removed by crossing with cre mice (B6). |
Strain description | Xist<IVS19> mice. A second intron of the human gamma-globin gene was inserted into exon 1 of Xist gene. Heterozygous mutant females with paternal mutant allele were embryonic lethality by non-random and abnormal X-inactivation.
