Strain development Developed by Jean-Marc Fritschy, University of Zurich. Deposited by Thomas Knoepfel, RIKEN Brain Science Institute. BAC clone 365E4 from the mouse C57BL/6 BAC library RPCI-23 (Research Genetics Inc., Huntsville, AL) containing the GlyT2 gene. Mixed background (FVB mixed).
Strain description GlyT2-GFP transgenic mice. Transgene composed of BAC containing the GlyT2 (Slc6A5) gene with EGFP. Expression of GFP under the GlyT2 promoter. Homozygous mice are viable but infertile.
