Strain development Developed by Shigetada Nakanishi and Takahisa Furukawa, Osaka Bioscience Institute in 2012. The mutant mice were generated by backcrossing to 129S6/SvEvTac from B6-Grm6-lacZ Tg/Grm6 KO mice (RBRC01353).
Strain description mGluR6 (Grm6) knockout mice. 126 background. 1.2 kb sequence encoding part of the transmembrane region of Grm6 gene was replaced with a neomycin resistance cassette.
