Strain development | Developed by Shinji Mii and Masahide Takahashi, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine in 2008. CSL3 ES cells derived from 129S6 were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J over 10 times. |
Strain description | CD109 gene knockout mice. Part of exon 1 and all of exon 2 of the Cd109 gene were replaced with lacZ and PGK-neo cassettes. Homozygous mutant mice show abnormal hair growth, epidermal hyperplasia and thickening, sebaceous gland hyperplasia at P7. |
