Strain description Rbpj floxed mice. Rbpj, recombination signal binding protein for immunoglobulin kappa J region is a transcriptional factor of a Notch/RBP-J signaling pathway play a role in fate determination in various lineages. Exon 6 and 7 of Rbpj gene was flanked by loxP sites, and a neomycin resistance gene was inserted between exon 7 and the loxP site. Conditional RBP-J deficient mice can be generated by crossing with tissue-specific Cre mice.

Strain description B6.Cg-Spen<tm2.1>. Mint, Msx2 interacting nuclear target protein which is a suppressor factor of a Notch/RBP-J signaling pathway, plays a role in fate determination. This strain has a loxP-flanked Mint allele. Conditional Mint deficient mice can be generated by crossing with tissue-specific Cre mice. This strain is useful for elucidating the mechanism of Notch/RBP-J signaling pathway in mammals.
