Strain description Zeb1 gene knockout mice (deltaEF1 deltaC727). Exon 6 of the Zeb1 was replaced with a neo cassette. In the genetic background of inbred mouse strains, homozygous mutant mice die after birth. While about 20-30% of homozygous mice survive to adulthood in the mixed genetic background.
